Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience in school-based OT services preferred
  • Strong communication skills with students, families, and educational teams
  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs and individualized therapy plans
  • Commitment to nurturing students’ academic and self-care skills
  • Skilled in managing a diverse caseload and adapting to varying needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and unique challenges
  • Develop, implement, and monitor therapy interventions tailored to individual needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and student support teams regarding treatment goals and strategies
  • Document and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress
  • Participate in IEP team meetings, providing expert input and goal development
  • Educate and empower families through regular communication on therapy progress
  • Support classroom staff with resources and strategies for student success
