Position Overview
Sunbelt Staffing is hiring a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in a self-contained Autism classroom serving grades 7–12 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This position is a great opportunity for an educator who enjoys creating individualized learning experiences and helping students build academic, behavioral, communication, and life skills in a structured classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students in a self-contained Autism classroom.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Adapt curriculum and instructional materials based on student needs.
- Track student progress and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Establish a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with parents, administrators, therapists, and other school professionals.
- Participate in IEP meetings and student support planning.
- Implement appropriate classroom and behavioral strategies.
Qualifications
- Valid Nevada Special Education Certification required.
- Experience supporting students with Autism is preferred.
- Self-contained classroom experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to provide individualized instruction and support.
- Commitment to helping students achieve their educational and developmental goals.
