Job Summary
A well-established legal services firm in Vero Beach, FL is seeking an experienced Family Law Legal Assistant to support a busy Family Law litigation practice. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented legal support professional who thrives in a fast-paced law firm environment and enjoys being a trusted resource to attorneys, clients, and the broader litigation team.
The firm offers a professional, collaborative workplace with supportive leadership, strong teamwork, and the stability of an established legal practice. This role provides the opportunity to contribute directly to meaningful Family Law matters while working with attorneys who value organization, accuracy, communication, and client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, maintain, open, and close physical and electronic legal files according to established law firm procedures.
- Prepare, type, proofread, edit, and format legal documents from dictation, handwritten notes, and attorney direction.
- Manage attorney calendars, contact lists, file listings, meetings, conference rooms, deadlines, and related scheduling needs.
- Assist with client billing, including time entry, bill editing, billing deadline tracking, and invoice delivery.
- Communicate professionally with clients, answer and direct calls, relay messages, and help maintain strong client relationships.
- Maintain database records and create charts, spreadsheets, and tracking documents to support the Family Law litigation team.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $55,000 to $65,000 per year.
- Full-time, direct hire opportunity.
- Onsite position in Vero Beach, FL with 2 remote workdays available per month.
