Key Qualifications:
- Active CI (Cognitive Impairment) teaching certification required
- Experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorder or related behavioral/mental health needs highly desirable
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a full team approach, including educators, support staff, and families
- Strong behavior management and individualized instruction skills
- Detail-oriented, flexible, and patient communicator
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored academic and behavioral support to one student, aged 8 or 9, on a daily basis
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) reflecting both cognitive and ASD-focused strategies
- Work closely with a team to monitor progress, adapt approaches, and coordinate necessary interventions
- Manage classroom behavior and promote positive mental health practices
- Document student growth and participate in regular team meetings
- Maintain a consistent onsite presence at the Ed Tech Center, adhering to scheduled hours of 7:30 AM – 2:45 PM
