Lead Utility Substation Construction Projects

We are seeking an experienced Substation Foreman to oversee field crews on utility substation construction projects. This leadership role is responsible for driving daily productivity, enforcing safety standards, coordinating work activities, and serving as the primary point of contact for customers on-site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead crews of approximately 8 to 10 craft workers
• Coordinate daily construction activities on energized utility substation projects
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications
• Conduct safety meetings and maintain compliance with company and customer requirements
• Monitor productivity and quality of work performed in the field
• Communicate regularly with project management, customers, and field personnel
• Support project scheduling, material coordination, and workforce planning
• Complete required documentation, reports, and basic computer-based tasks

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of utility substation construction experience
• Progressive leadership experience as a Leadman, Foreman, or similar field leadership role
• Experience supervising crews in a construction environment
• Strong understanding of energized substation work practices
• OSHA 30 or OSHA ET&D 20 Certification
• Ability and willingness to travel as needed
• Basic Microsoft Office and computer skills
• Strong customer-facing communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on transmission and distribution substation projects
• Background with utility contractors or utility service providers
• Proven record of maintaining strong safety performance and crew productivity
