Inventory Control Specialist/Cycle Counter Position Summary Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Cycle Counter / Inventory Control Specialist to support inventory accuracy and production operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies, maintaining inventory records, and supporting production planning activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience in warehouse operations, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure materials are available in the right place, at the right time, and in the correct quantities. Key Responsibilities Perform daily cycle counts of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory. Reconcile inventory variances and investigate discrepancies through system research and transaction history review. Maintain accurate inventory records within JD Edwards (JDE) or similar ERP systems. Support production planning activities, including work order management, scheduling, releases, and rescheduling as business needs change. Conduct audits of bills of materials, inventory locations, and backflush transactions to ensure system accuracy. Manage end-of-life inventory, including disposition and inventory adjustments. Troubleshoot inventory and material flow issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Partner with warehouse, production, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure inventory availability and operational efficiency. Communicate inventory concerns, discrepancies, and corrective actions to stakeholders. Assist with receiving, shipping, and material handling activities as needed. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy and process efficiency. Qualifications Required Minimum 6 months of inventory control, cycle counting, warehouse, manufacturing, or related experience. Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory management systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Preferred High school diploma or GED. Experience using JD Edwards (JDE) or other ERP systems. Prior experience performing cycle counts and inventory reconciliation. Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment. Experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations. Experience in a manufacturing or high-volume distribution environment. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
