Job Title: Junior Buyer

Job Description

The Junior Buyer is responsible for processing simple purchase orders, particularly focusing on IT hardware orders and corporate real estate office buildouts. This role also involves some ERP testing or testing of purchase orders.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively and professionally conduct activities associated with procuring materials and equipment.
  • Understand and apply basic procurement concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Ensure task completion and project delivery processes while managing supplier relationships.
  • Perform assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Understand compliance requirements applicable to assigned groups or commodities.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or other applicable major is preferred.
  • Previous procurement experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with Oracle and ServiceNow is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Open to new graduates, ideally with a supply chain, business, or accounting degree.
  • Good analytical skills.

Work Environment

The Junior Buyer will join a diverse team of five within a corporate procurement setting, focusing on indirect and some federal client purchases. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility to adjust hours as needed. The office environment is open, and remote work is available one day a week after approximately six months of training. The role offers growth opportunities, with potential promotions to Buyer II and Senior Buyer. Training is hands-on, involving shadowing a buyer and gradually taking on more complex tasks over 4-6 months.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
