Job Description
Job Title – R&D Assembly Technician
Location – 100 Nagog Park, Acton, Massachusetts, 01720
Duration – 06 months contract
Pay Rate – $30 USD hourly on W2
Work hours – Shift hours are 8 am – 5 pm
Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on R&D Assembly Technician to support the development and assembly of medical devices. This role involves working with small, intricate components, manual and semi-automated equipment, and engineering teams in a fast-paced R&D environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual and semi-automated assembly of small components.
- Operate basic manufacturing and inspection equipment in a lab/cleanroom environment.
- Follow assembly drawings, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Record build results, observations, and process data.
- Support fixture/tool setup and troubleshoot assembly issues.
- Collaborate with engineers and provide feedback on processes and tooling.
- Maintain compliance with GMP/ISO and safety requirements.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of manufacturing, assembly, R&D, or technician experience.
- Comfortable working with small parts under magnification/microscope.
- Basic mechanical assembly and manufacturing knowledge.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Basic computer/data-entry skills.
- Medical device, cleanroom, or regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
Work Environment: On-site 5 days/week in Acton, MA. Cleanroom gowning may be required.
