Location: Saint Anthony, MN

Schedule: Full-time, approximately 35 hours per week
Caseload: Elementary-aged students
Classroom Setting: Center-based classroom supporting students with DCD/ASD needs
Required License: Minnesota Special Education Tier 3 or Tier 4

Position Overview

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support elementary-aged students in a center-based classroom in Saint Anthony, Minnesota. This full-time position will focus on students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) needs.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing individualized instruction, creating a structured classroom environment, and helping students develop their academic, behavioral, communication, and functional skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to elementary-aged students in a center-based classroom.
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
• Support students with DCD and ASD-related learning needs.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational documentation.
• Create a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with families, administrators, therapists, and other school professionals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and student support planning.
• Implement individualized behavioral and educational strategies.

Qualifications

• Minnesota Special Education Tier 3 or Tier 4 license required.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
• Experience supporting students with DCD and/or ASD is a plus.
• Center-based classroom experience preferred.
• Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
• Ability to provide individualized instruction and support.
• Commitment to helping students reach their academic, developmental, and functional goals.
