We are looking for a dependable Test Center Administrator to support daily exam operations at our location in a Contract position. This part-time opportunity averages 20 hours per week and is best suited for someone who can adapt to a changing schedule, including Saturdays and occasional evening hours. The person in this role will help create a secure, organized, and detail-focused testing environment while delivering courteous service to every visitor.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome test takers, confirm their identity, and guide them through the check-in process with care and courtesy.
• Administer security screening procedures, including the use of handheld scanning tools when required, to protect the integrity of the testing environment.
• Observe candidates throughout their exams and respond promptly to concerns, irregularities, or policy-related issues.
• Preserve the confidentiality and security of testing materials, equipment, and exam rooms at all times.
• Document incidents clearly and escalate situations that fall outside established procedures.
• Support a fair and comfortable experience for all examinees by enforcing rules consistently and addressing questions appropriately.
• Move throughout the testing area regularly to monitor activity and escort candidates to and from exam rooms as needed.
• Perform administrative support tasks such as scanning, record handling, basic clerical work, and assisting with office organization or equipment handling.
• Maintain operational readiness by assisting with routine computer lab upkeep, packing or unpacking equipment, and following site safety practices.
• Work a flexible schedule based on site needs, with availability for Saturday shifts and occasional evening or Sunday coverage when required.• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional college coursework is helpful.
• At least one year of face-to-face customer service experience in environments such as retail, hospitality, food service, or similar settings is required.
• Must meet the minimum age requirement for the position.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare accurate reports and correspond professionally with candidates and coworkers.
• Comfort using Microsoft Windows and common office applications, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web-based tools.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while handling small tools, documents, and basic administrative duties.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, lift up to 40 pounds, and remain stationary for extended periods while supervising exams.
• Visual and physical ability to monitor computer screens and camera displays, navigate the testing room frequently, and work safely in compact spaces around office or lab equipment.
