The Production Associate supports a high-volume manufacturing operation that produces small metal parts for automotive vehicles using large stamping presses, welding stations, and production lines. This role involves a mix of production line work, material handling, machine support, and quality checks, requiring strong attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to take on a variety of tasks as needed.

Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment and production lines
- Move materials throughout the facility
- Push carts and lift products as needed
- Follow work instructions and safety procedures
- Assist with machine operation and other duties as assigned
- Safely operate overhead cranes to move materials throughout the facility
- Transport products to designated workstations and production areas
- Support production teams by ensuring materials are available when needed
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
Essential Skills
- Ability to stand for 8-10 hour shifts
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs repeatedly
- Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
- Strong attendance and work ethic
- Team player with a "no job is too small" attitude
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with crane operation or assisting with crane-related tasks.
- Experience moving and organizing large metal coils or similar heavy materials.
- Interest in leadership and good tenure for potential line lead responsibilities.
- Ability to work effectively with a team while managing an individual workstation.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort with machine setup and adjusting machine settings.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for production and welding equipment.
- Experience conducting quality checks and visual inspections in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with reading diagrams and following detailed process instructions.
- Experience using tablets or iPads for reporting and documentation.
- Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, order selecting, picking, packing, loading, and general material handling.
- Ability to handle general labor tasks in a production or warehouse setting.

Work Environment
The role is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility focused on stamping and welding small metal parts for automotive applications. Production Associates stand on their feet for 8–10 hour shifts while working at individual stations that are integrated into a team-oriented production line, ensuring that no one is fully isolated. The environment involves regular material handling, use of large stamping presses, welding stations, lathes, grinding machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks. The pace is fast, with consistent movement around the facility, pushing carts, and handling products and materials throughout the shift.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.50 - $19.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
