This role is a full-time, first-shift Maintenance Mechanic position in a concrete pre-cast department, working Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You perform both mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on CNC machines, saws, and other industrial equipment in the shop area. You use your own tools to diagnose issues, complete repairs, and carry out preventive maintenance to keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on CNC machines, saws, and other shop equipment in the pre-cast department.
  • Perform mechanical repairs, including replacing worn or damaged components and adjusting equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Perform electrical repairs, including diagnosing electrical faults and replacing or repairing wiring, sensors, and other electrical components.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on industrial equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Inspect machinery regularly to identify potential problems and address them before they cause equipment failure.
  • Use personal tools and appropriate test equipment to diagnose, repair, and maintain production machinery.
  • Work safely in an industrial concrete pre-cast facility, following all safety procedures and using required personal protective equipment.
  • Collaborate with production staff to understand equipment issues and prioritize maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used to support ongoing equipment reliability and planning.
Essential Skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Hands-on experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial environment.
  • Mechanical maintenance skills, including repair and adjustment of industrial machinery.
  • Electrical experience, including electrical troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Previous industrial maintenance background in a manufacturing or production facility.
  • Capability to repair CNC machines, saws, and other shop equipment.
  • Ability to use and maintain personal tools required for maintenance and repair work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working in a concrete pre-cast or similar heavy industrial environment.
  • Comfort working with non-climate-controlled conditions, including heat in summer and cold in winter.
  • Strong attention to safety procedures and use of protective equipment.
  • Ability to work a consistent first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Willingness to perform physically demanding work and handle dirty tasks associated with industrial maintenance.

Work Environment

You work in a concrete pre-cast facility with a busy industrial shop area. The environment is non-climate controlled, so it can be hot in the summer and colder in the winter, and you should expect to get dirty while performing maintenance tasks. The role involves working around CNC machines, saws, and other heavy industrial equipment. You must wear steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and a hard hat as part of the required dress code and personal protective equipment. The position follows a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
