Location: Columbus, OH 43213 | Territory: Columbus & Central Ohio | Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire | Work Setting: On-Site | Field-Based Travel: Local travel throughout Central Ohio

About the Opportunity:

  • W3Global's client is seeking an experienced Journeyman - Commercial Plumber/Pipefitter to join their team and support commercial construction projects throughout Columbus and Central Ohio.

  • This is a hands-on skilled-trades position for a dependable, technically proficient plumber who takes pride in quality workmanship, understands commercial plumbing systems, and works well as part of a team.

  • The ideal candidate is motivated to grow professionally and has the skills and work ethic to potentially advance into a Foreman/leadership role over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Plumbing Installation & Service

  • Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems.

Install and work with:

  • Piping systems

  • Valves

  • Fixtures

  • Drains

  • Water heaters

  • Related plumbing components and equipment

  • Perform plumbing installations in accordance with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes.

  • Perform leak detection, system testing, adjustments, and troubleshooting.

  • Identify installation issues and work with the Foreman to develop effective solutions.

Blueprint & Technical Work:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and specifications.

  • Review material take-offs and ensure appropriate materials are available for assigned work.

  • Execute installations accurately and efficiently according to project requirements.

  • Identify potential conflicts or issues in the field and communicate them to the Foreman.

Team & Job-Site Support:

  • Work closely with the Foreman and other skilled trades to maintain project schedules and quality standards.

  • Assist with coordinating daily work activities when needed.

  • Provide guidance and technical support to Apprentices.

  • Maintain a professional and productive job-site environment.

  • Maintain, organize, and properly care for tools and equipment.

Safety & Quality:

  • Follow all applicable plumbing codes, safety regulations, project requirements, and company standards.

  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.

  • Identify and report potential safety hazards.

  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.

  • Take ownership of assigned work and ensure tasks are completed correctly and efficiently.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of commercial plumbing experience.

  • Journeyman plumbing license or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems and installation practices.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and specifications.

  • Ability to install plumbing systems accurately according to project requirements.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites throughout Central Ohio.

  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Willingness to work overtime and extended on-site hours when project needs require it.
