Job Title: Senior Blow Molding Technician
Compensation Range: $28.00 – $34.00 per hour
Location: Rochester, NY
Shifts Available:
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:30pm – 11:00pm + every other weekend
- 3rd Shift: Monday – Friday, 10:30pm – 7:00am + every other weekend
A Day in the Life:
- Set up and start up various molding machines per production schedules
- Install, align, and remove molds
- Adjust machine parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time) for optimal performance
- Perform first-piece inspections and troubleshoot molding/process issues
- Monitor machine performance and perform necessary adjustments
- Conduct routine maintenance on molds and equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate closely with quality, maintenance, and production teams
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical training preferred
Experience:
- Experience with extrusion blow molding preferred
- Previous experience running molding machines highly desired
- Injection blow molding experience also considered
- Proficient with molding machines and tooling
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of plastics materials and processing techniques
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work rotating shifts and weekendsSelf-motivated and able to work independently or within a team
- Strong commitment to safety standards
- Experience mentoring/training others preferred
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs
