Position Overview
Portola Valley School District is seeking a dedicated Certified School Nurse to provide comprehensive health services that support student well-being, safety, and access to education. This part-time opportunity offers a flexible schedule and the chance to work with a highly regarded school community while making a meaningful impact on student health outcomes.
Assignment Details
Start Date: August 19
End Date: June 10
Schedule: Part-Time
Days: Tuesday and Thursday
Hours: 12 hours per week
School Assignments:
Corte Madera School (1 day per week)
Ormondale School (1 day per week)
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive school health services and nursing support
Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans
Coordinate care for students with medical needs
Conduct mandated health screenings and assessments
Serve as a health resource for students, staff, and families
Assist with communicable disease management and prevention
Support emergency preparedness and response efforts
Collaborate with healthcare providers, families, and community agencies
Maintain accurate health records and documentation
Ensure compliance with state and district health requirements
Required Qualifications
Active California Certified School Nurse Credential
Experience in pediatric, community health, or school-based nursing preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and manage student health services effectively
