Job Description
Empower young learners as a Special Education Teacher focused on Math for grades 7 through 9. Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience with middle school or early high school students (grades 7-9)
- Strong background in teaching or supporting math curriculum
- Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Adaptability and problem-solving capabilities when crafting individualized supports
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver differentiated math instruction aligned with each student’s IEP
- Assess student abilities, document growth, and update progress toward educational goals
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and related services providers
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and educational teams
- Create a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, accommodations, and modifications to ensure student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development sessions, and school-related activities as required
