Senior HR Generalist
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Generalist to support employees and leaders. This role blends strategic partnership with day-to-day human resources leadership, helping ensure consistent practices, strong compliance, and an engaging workplace culture. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of employee relations, compensation and benefits, and employment law, along with the ability to guide HR programs that strengthen organizational performance.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with operational and site leaders to shape HR priorities that support business objectives and workforce needs across locations.
• Handle complex employee relations matters by conducting thorough investigations, recommending resolutions, and reducing organizational risk.
• Review and strengthen HR processes to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations while promoting sound people practices.
• Lead core talent activities such as staffing planning, hiring support, onboarding coordination, and succession readiness efforts.
• Champion initiatives that improve engagement, reinforce workplace culture, and increase employee retention during periods of change and growth.
• Interpret workforce data and HR trends to provide leaders with insights that support better decision-making and improved performance outcomes.
• Administer and guide performance management programs, including review cycles, goal alignment, and development planning.
• Support compensation, benefits, leave administration, and workers’ compensation activities to ensure competitiveness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Coach and develop HR team members by setting expectations, monitoring effectiveness, and encouraging continuous improvement within the function.
• 5+ years of progressive human resources experience, including broad generalist leadership responsibilities.
• Demonstrated expertise in compensation and benefits administration within a multi-site or complex business environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and their practical application.
• Proven ability to manage sensitive employee relations issues, conduct workplace investigations, and recommend appropriate resolutions.
• Experience leading HR programs that support talent management, engagement, and performance improvement.
• Effective leadership and coaching skills with the ability to influence managers and develop HR team capability.
• Strong analytical ability with experience using HR metrics and trends to guide business decisions.
