Part-Time Morning Route Walker -- Door Hanger Delivery
Job Description
Part-Time Morning Route Walker — Door Hanger Delivery
$30–35/hour · 3 mornings a week · Permanent part-time · W2
We're a small, family-run pest control company in Dallas. We hang door hangers in neighborhoods around our service area, and we need one reliable person to deliver them.
The work is simple. You get a map of a neighborhood and a stack of hangers. You walk house to house and hang one on each front door, after confirming the house is not a current customer. You take a quick photo of each one in an app on your phone. That's it. Training takes about five minutes.
Schedule
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. Start at 9:00am, 250 hangers per shift — most people finish in about 3 hours and are done well before lunch.
These are fixed days. This isn't gig work and it isn't flexible — we need the same person on the same mornings every week. If that's a problem, this isn't the right job.
This is a permanent job. You will work year round - we are looking for someone long term.
Pay
$0.38 per hanger, paid twice per month. At a normal pace that works out to $30–35/hour, or about $1100 per month. Faster walkers finish sooner and make more per hour.
This is a W2 position — you're a real employee with taxes withheld, not a 1099 contractor.
We also cover $100 twice a year for walking shoes.
Who does well here
People who want a steady morning routine and are done by noon. Retirees, semi-retired folks, parents with kids in school, anyone working an evening job who wants morning income. If you're reliable and you like to walk, you'll do great.
Where you'll be walking
East Dallas, North Dallas, Northwest Dallas, Far North Dallas, and Richardson. You'll get a different neighborhood in that area each time.
We're looking for someone who lives close to these areas — ideally a 10–15 minute drive. If you're 40+ minutes out, a 3-hour shift turns into a 5-hour day, and that doesn't hold up long term for anyone.
What you should know before applying
This is a lot of walking — outdoors, in whatever weather Dallas gives us. If you like being outside and moving, you'll like this job. If you don't, you'll hate it. If weather conditions are dangerous or overly extreme, we'll cancel or reschedule the shift - other than that it's rain or shine!
What we're looking for
- You live in or near the neighborhoods above
- You show up, on time, every scheduled day
- You're comfortable on your feet for a few hours
- Smartphone and reliable transportation
- Two references from previous supervisors — we will call them.
To apply
Complete application. If you look like a match, we'll do a phone interview, followed by a paid trial shift — one morning, 250 hangers, $100 flat — so we can both see if it works before anyone commits.
