Seasonal Delivery Driver for Organic Farm

We are an organic vegetable farm searching for a seasonal satellite delivery driver.

This position is one day each week-Thursdays- for 9 weeks, and is paid biweekly.

The driver would use their own personal vehicle to meet up with our main delivery truck then collect and deliver boxes of produce, flowers, and other add-on items such as cooler bags containing cheese & yogurt to Seattle neighborhoods. Part of the delivery job also includes collecting the empty boxes from the previous weeks' deliveries. Deliveries will be Thursdays starting August 27th through the last week of October. The driver will be added to our insurance so that any incidents are covered under our plan.

Hours per day: 6 hours from approx 10 am to 4 pm. 25 stops, mapped at between 3 and 4 hours of driving time. Approx 2 hrs of stoppage time (5 min each stop).

Pay: $200 day rate + CSA Membership. The day rate includes a mileage reimbursement rate of $0.76 per mile (approx 50 miles), about $38.00/week mileage reimbursement. $200 minus the mileage reimbursement $38.00 = $162.00/day for a 6 hr day, is $27.00hr. In addition, the value of a free veggie share adds $5/hr of value.

Required Vehicle: SUV, Van, or truck with canopy

Must have a clean driving record and current license and insurance.

Must commit for the whole 9-week season.
