About the Position
The Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader is responsible for leading a maintenance crew while working alongside the team to maintain residential and commercial landscapes to Wood Lawn & Landscaping's standards.
This is a hands-on leadership position. You will work alongside your crew while taking responsibility for daily production, quality, organization, customer service, equipment, and crew development.

Compensation
$18–$22 Per Hour
Starting compensation is based on experience, skill level, leadership ability, and production.

Schedule
Monday–Friday
Normal scheduled hours: 7:30 AM–5:30 PM
The normal scheduled day includes a scheduled lunch break.
Our Monday–Friday schedule provides a predictable workweek and allows our team members to plan their lives outside of work.

About the Position
The Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader is responsible for leading a maintenance crew while working alongside the team to maintain residential and commercial landscapes to Wood Lawn & Landscaping's standards.
This is a hands-on leadership position. You will work alongside your crew while taking responsibility for daily production, quality, organization, customer service, equipment, and crew development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside a landscape maintenance crew.
- Complete scheduled work efficiently, safely, and to company quality standards.
- Perform lawn mowing, trimming, and edging.
- Prune shrubs, ornamental plants, and other landscape material.
- Install mulch, pine straw, and plants in planting beds.
- Perform seasonal cleanups and removal of leaves and landscape debris.
- Perform dormant pruning during the winter months.
- Maintain clean and professional client properties and job sites.
- Properly operate and care for company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
- Communicate professionally with clients, team members, and management.
- Help train and develop Maintenance Technicians.
- Monitor crew productivity and the quality of completed work.
- Take responsibility for the crew's daily performance and production.
The ideal candidate:
- Has previous landscape maintenance experience.
- Takes pride in doing quality work.
- Is dependable and arrives ready to work.
- Has strong communication skills.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrates leadership potential or previous crew leadership experience.
- Is willing to learn and continually improve.
- Is comfortable working outdoors and performing physically demanding work.
- Can safely operate landscape equipment.
- Takes care of company equipment and vehicles.
- Wants to build a long-term career in the landscaping industry.
