Position Summary:

The Operations Site Manager leads, manages, and continuously improves all operational activities at the designated site. The role is responsible for workforce leadership, operational performance, inventory accuracy, quality control, process optimization, and regulatory compliance. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership position focused on people, process, and measurable results.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Interview, train, coach, and develop a high-performing operations team.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and career development support.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused work environment.
  • Manage schedules, timecards, attendance, staffing coverage, and productivity.

Operational Excellence

  • Lead daily site operations to ensure efficient, safe, and consistent execution of business objectives.
  • Monitor performance metrics and operational results to identify trends, drive improvements, and achieve established goals.
  • Develop and implement processes that improve productivity, quality, service levels, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, and applicable industry regulations.

Process Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, remove bottlenecks, and improve efficiency.
  • Lead adoption of new tools, technologies, and best practices that improve client experience and operational outcomes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement process changes and resolve operational challenges.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure site activities comply with environmental, health, safety, quality, and security requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to maintain compliance and mitigate hazards.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and documented follow-through.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for site-level operational issues and client escalations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment and satisfaction.
  • Support business development initiatives with operational insight and subject-matter expertise.

Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare and present regular reports on site performance, challenges, risks, and improvement initiatives.
  • Manage resource allocation for the site.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy and operational tracking systems.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum five years of operations, production, logistics, distribution, processing, or technology-related operations management experience.
  • At least three years of experience managing teams in a warehouse, production, service delivery, or operational environment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, operational improvement initiatives, or complex workflows is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with operational reporting, inventory controls, compliance requirements, and performance management practices.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership, coaching, team-building, and accountability skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Analytical and improvement-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems, inventory tracking tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly squat, twist, bend, and lift 10 to 50 pounds or more.
