Job Description
Title: Automation Maintenance Technician
Location: Manchester, CT
Contract to Hire - Full-Time - 40 hours+ a week
Shift: Wednesday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
Compensation: $24-28/hr

Must Have Skill Set: Automation experience, industrial maintenance experience, and strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Overview:
We are seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician to support maintenance and automation equipment in a manufacturing environment. This position will focus primarily on the mechanical aspects of automated production equipment, performing preventive and corrective maintenance to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have hands-on maintenance experience with automated machinery and strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. PLC troubleshooting is not a primary responsibility of this position.
Job Duties:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with automation and production equipment.
- Inspect machinery and equipment to identify potential maintenance issues.
- Perform mechanical repairs and adjustments to minimize equipment downtime.
- Support the installation, maintenance, and modification of automated equipment.
- Work with mechanical components such as conveyors, motors, drives, pneumatic systems, and other industrial equipment.
- Follow established safety procedures and maintenance practices.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment issues.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance team members to resolve equipment problems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in industrial maintenance, automation maintenance, or a similar manufacturing maintenance role.
- Hands-on experience working with automated production equipment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability to work with mechanical, pneumatic, and related industrial systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, or equipment documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work the assigned Wednesday–Sunday schedule and either day or night shift.
- PLC programming or troubleshooting experience is not required.
