ABOUT KINTEK GROUP LLC KINTEK GROUP LLC is a U.S.-based integrated business-services company headquartered in Rockville, Maryland. We provide professional solutions in human resources and workforce management, payroll and financial operations, bookkeeping and accounting support, business setup and compliance, information technology support, business consulting, and related corporate services. KINTEK is developing a secure digital business-services platform that will allow administrators, employees, and business clients to manage service requests, employee onboarding, documents, tasks, invoices, communications, and other business activities through one centralized system. We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer & Platform Lead to direct the technical development of this platform and help establish KINTEK’s long-term technology infrastructure. POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer & Platform Lead will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, securing, documenting, and maintaining the KINTEK Business Services Platform. This is a hands-on technical leadership position. The successful candidate must be able to translate business requirements into practical software solutions, develop both front-end and back-end functionality, design secure databases and system architecture, integrate third-party services, and guide additional developers or specialized contractors when required. The initial platform will support KINTEK GROUP LLC’s U.S. operations. Its architecture must also be capable of supporting separately managed KINTEK entities in Oman, Liberia, and other jurisdictions in the future without improperly combining their data, users, records, permissions, or financial activities. This position is intended for an experienced software engineer who can build a product—not solely provide general IT support, website maintenance, or network administration. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Platform Architecture and Development • Lead the design and development of the KINTEK Business Services Platform. • Convert business requirements into technical specifications, development milestones, workflows, and system architecture. • Build responsive and accessible administrator, employee, and business-client portals. • Develop secure front-end and back-end application functionality. • Design scalable databases, application programming interfaces, and system integrations. • Build the platform using modular architecture that can be expanded without requiring a complete system rebuild. • Ensure that the platform works effectively across desktop computers, tablets, and mobile devices. • Prepare the architecture for future mobile applications and international KINTEK entities. Phase 1 Modules • Administrator dashboard • Client service-request submission and tracking • Employee and client account management • Human resources and employee onboarding • Secure document upload, storage, organization, and sharing • Task assignment, workflow tracking, and approvals • Quotations, invoices, and payment-status tracking • Notifications, reminders, and activity logs • Role-based reporting and administrative oversight Security and Data Protection • Implement secure authentication and role-based access controls. • Establish appropriate permissions for administrators, employees, clients, managers, and future company entities. • Protect confidential HR, payroll, financial, legal, employee, and client information. • Implement encryption, secure credential management, audit logs, backups, recovery procedures, and system monitoring. • Incorporate secure software-development practices throughout the development lifecycle. • Conduct or coordinate vulnerability testing and security reviews before production releases. • Respond promptly to identified vulnerabilities, system incidents, and security concerns. • Ensure that development, testing, and production environments are appropriately separated. Integrations and Automation • Develop and maintain secure API integrations with approved third-party systems. • Evaluate potential integrations involving accounting, payroll, electronic signatures, email, payment processing, identity verification, customer relationship management, and document-management systems. • Recommend appropriate technology solutions based on security, cost, scalability, and business value. • Document all integrations, credentials, dependencies, and data flows. • Ensure that no external integration is implemented without proper business and security approval. Testing and Quality Assurance • Develop and execute testing procedures for platform functionality, security, performance, and usability. • Identify, document, prioritize, and correct software defects. • Test platform updates before production deployment. • Establish version-control, code-review, and release-management procedures. • Maintain reliable backup, rollback, and disaster-recovery processes. • Coordinate independent quality-assurance and cybersecurity testing when required. Technical Leadership and Project Management • Prepare realistic development plans, budgets, milestones, and progress reports. • Provide clear weekly updates to KINTEK leadership. • Explain technical issues, risks, decisions, and recommendations in understandable business language. • Identify technical risks early and recommend practical solutions. • Supervise or coordinate additional developers, designers, testers, cloud specialists, or contractors when authorized. • Review the work of outside developers and confirm that it satisfies KINTEK’s technical, security, and quality requirements. • Help recruit and evaluate future members of KINTEK’s technology team. • Maintain accountability for platform performance, documentation, and development progress. Documentation and Company Control • Maintain accurate technical documentation for the system architecture, databases, source code, integrations, configurations, APIs, workflows, testing, and deployment procedures. • Ensure that KINTEK maintains administrative control over all source-code repositories, hosting services, cloud environments, databases, domains, credentials, and third-party accounts. • Store source code only in repositories approved and controlled by KINTEK. • Ensure that all technical work can be transferred to another authorized engineer without unnecessary interruption. • Provide complete technical documentation when requested. • Protect all KINTEK confidential information, trade secrets, business methods, platform concepts, technical materials, and intellectual property. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. • At least five years of professional software-development experience. • Demonstrated experience building and launching secure web applications, SaaS platforms, business portals, or enterprise applications. • Strong full-stack development experience. • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript. • Strong experience with React, Next.js, or a comparable modern front-end framework. • Strong experience with Node.js, Python, or another suitable back-end technology. • Experience designing and managing relational databases such as PostgreSQL. • Experience developing and integrating REST APIs or comparable application interfaces. • Experience implementing secure authentication and role-based permissions. • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Cloudflare, or comparable services. • Experience with Git, GitHub, or comparable source-code and version-control systems. • Experience deploying, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting production applications. • Working knowledge of secure software-development practices. • Ability to independently manage priorities and complete agreed milestones. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. • Ability to work effectively with executives, employees, clients, contractors, and nontechnical stakeholders. • Ability to provide relevant work samples or explain prior platform-development projects in detail. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Seven or more years of professional software-development experience. • Previous experience as a technical lead, lead software engineer, solutions architect, or founding engineer. • Experience developing multi-tenant or multi-company platforms. • Experience building HR, payroll, accounting, invoicing, document-management, professional services, or client-portal applications. • Experience integrating electronic-signature, accounting, payment, payroll, email, or identity management platforms. • Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, continuous deployment, containerization, and infrastructure management. • Knowledge of audit logging, encryption, secrets management, backup systems, vulnerability management, and disaster recovery. • Experience supervising developers, consultants, or offshore development teams. • Familiarity with U.S. privacy, employment-data, and business-record security considerations. • Experience preparing systems for SOC 2 or comparable security and compliance controls is beneficial. • Experience developing or supporting mobile applications is beneficial. SUCCESS MEASURES The successful candidate will be expected to: • Delivery agreed platform milestones within approved schedules and budgets. • Produce secure, maintainable, well-documented source code. • Maintain reliable development and production environments. • Demonstrate functional progress through regular platform reviews. • Provide accurate and transparent reports regarding costs, risks, delays, and dependencies. • Maintain KINTEK’s ownership and administrative control over all platform assets. • Build a stable technical foundation that can support future modules, users, integrations, and international entities. • Work collaboratively with KINTEK leadership while exercising responsible technical judgment. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS • Annual salary range: $90,000–$115,000. • Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, technical expertise, education, work samples, leadership capabilities, and the scope of responsibilities assigned. • Paid vacation in accordance with company policy. • Paid sick and safe leave in accordance with applicable Maryland and Montgomery County requirements and company policy. • Company-observed paid holidays. • Health insurance and other eligible employee benefits following the applicable eligibility period and subject to the terms of the company’s benefit plans. • Approved professional development or technology training opportunities may be provided based on business needs. • No commission or guaranteed bonus is currently included with this position unless separately approved and documented in writing.
