About the job
The Constructor Estimator prepares accurate project estimates for construction, renovation, and repair projects by analyzing plans, coordinating with vendors, and supporting successful project execution.
We're looking for someone who
%CF; Has 5+ years of experience in construction estimating or a related field
%CF; Demonstrates strong knowledge of construction methods, building materials, and industry standards
%CF; Can read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
%CF; Has experience preparing labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates
%CF; Demonstrates strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
%CF; Is proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
%CF; Has experience working with CRM or estimating software such as Salesforce (preferred)
%CF; Communicates effectively with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
%CF; Has strong organizational skills and can manage multiple estimates simultaneously
%CF; Works independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
What you'll do
%CF; Review project plans, specifications, and design documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
%CF; Develop labor, material, subcontractor, and equipment budgets for construction projects
%CF; Conduct site visits to evaluate project conditions and identify potential constraints
%CF; Perform value engineering and constructability reviews to optimize project costs
%CF; Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
%CF; Prepare requests for information (RFIs) to clarify project requirements
%CF; Maintain estimate documentation and track project activity in company systems
%CF; Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth project handoffs after award
%CF; Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors
%CF; Monitor estimate progress and communicate project updates to stakeholders
%CF; Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and stay current on industry trends
