Blasting Laborer

Valley Rock Solutions is a drilling & blasting contractor working in Eastern Pennsylvania on commercial, warehouse and residential projects, as well as in quarries across the region. We are looking for blasting laborers to join our growing team. To be considered, you need to have at least one year of construction or landscape experience and a safety first attitude toward your work. While our market is primarily in Eastern Pennsylvania, the position will involve traveling and staying out of town at times.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have experience working outdoors. A Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and clean criminal background are required. Reliable transportation is necessary. Pre-employment and random drug screenings are conducted. We have a competitive compensation package and great work environment. Responsibilities:

• Assist blaster with measuring and painting out shots
• Operate skid loader to put out stemming stone on the shots
• Help put out the explosives on the shots
• Shovel the stemming stone into the holes once the holes are loaded
• Collect the hole marking cones once shot is completed and clean for next shot
• Provide traffic control for the shot when necessary
• Drag the emulsion hose from hole to hole and place it down the hole to put the emulsion into the hole at the blaster's direction
