Overhead Crane Operator – A Shift
Pay: Starting at $20.33 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Overtime: Overtime and additional days may be required
As openings become available on other shifts, employees may submit shift preferences and be considered for transfer opportunities based on seniority.
Position Summary:
Topre America is seeking motivated, safety-focused individuals to join our team as Overhead Crane Operators. In this role, you will safely operate overhead cranes to support production operations, perform die changes, load raw materials onto presses, unload trucks, and ensure materials are moved efficiently throughout the facility.
Candidates with previous overhead crane experience, heavy equipment operation experience, manufacturing experience, or experience operating large industrial machinery are strongly encouraged to apply.
Essential Responsibilities
- Safely operate overhead cranes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Perform die changes and load raw materials onto production presses.
- Unload trucks and transport materials throughout the facility.
- Maintain awareness of personnel, equipment, and surroundings while moving loads.
- Select and properly use rigging equipment based on load requirements.
- Support production by managing tasks efficiently and safely.
- Maintain organized die and coil storage areas and follow 5S standards.
- Utilize scanners, inventory systems, and other computer-based programs.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Report incidents, concerns, or safety issues immediately to leadership.
- Work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and accountability.
- Lift and move materials weighing 35 pounds or more as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous overhead crane experience preferred.
- Heavy equipment, forklift, industrial machinery, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and attendance.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate an overhead crane.
- Must successfully pass Topre America's written and practical overhead crane certification tests.
