Lead Driver / Mover

We are looking for a responsible, experienced, and hardworking Lead Driver/Mover to join our moving company. This position is ideal for someone who has prior moving experience, can confidently operate a non-CDL box truck, and is capable of leading a crew while providing excellent service to our customers.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience driving non-CDL box trucks is required. You should be comfortable operating large moving box trucks (not 18-wheelers).
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be dependable and show up on time every day you are scheduled.
• Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and confidently run and manage a moving crew.
• Must be able to lift heavy furniture and work long hours when necessary.
• Must have a working cell phone and remain available to communicate with management and customers throughout the job.
• Must have your own basic tools. The tool requirements are minimal, but having your own tools is required.
• Must be willing to work hard, stay organized, and take responsibility for the crew and truck.

Main Responsibilities

As a Lead Driver, you will be responsible for helping oversee the crew and making sure each move is completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and managing the moving crew.
• Wrapping and padding furniture properly to prevent damage.
• Disassembling furniture when necessary and reassembling it at the new residence.
• Safely loading and unloading furniture and household items.
• Keeping the truck organized throughout the day.
• Making sure all moving equipment and materials are properly stored at the end of each day.
• Folding and organizing moving pads.
• Rolling and organizing straps.
• Making sure the truck is clean and ready for the next day’s work.
• Communicating professionally with management and customers.
• Taking responsibility for the crew, truck, equipment, and overall quality of the move.

Dress Code

• Brown khaki or brown cargo shorts are required.
• Company work shirts will be provided.

No Smoking / Vaping Policy

We have a strict no-smoking and no-vaping policy while working. This includes cigarettes, vapes, and other smoking or vaping products. This policy must be followed at all times while on the job.

Pay & Tips

$23–$27 per hour, based on experience, performance, reliability, and leadership ability.

You will also receive daily tips from customers. Our crews regularly receive great tips on top of their hourly pay.
