Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the primary customer contact in person and over the phone.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and identifying customer needs.
  • Preparing quotes and estimates and following up on open opportunities.
  • Scheduling and coordinating technician jobs and adjusting schedules as needed.
  • Ordering and reordering materials and resolving order issues.
  • Communicating with vendors regarding orders, availability, pricing, and corrections.
  • Processing customer payments, vendor invoices, and bills.
  • Assisting with insurance claims and verification when needed.
  • Maintaining accurate customer, job, scheduling, billing, and order information.
  • Following up with customers regarding quotes, appointments, service needs, and job status.
  • Working closely with Store Managers and Technicians to keep jobs organized and on schedule.
  • Managing multiple priorities, including customer calls, walk-ins, technicians, vendors, and administrative tasks.
  • Helping manage the day-to-day operation of the store when the Store Manager is in the field.
  • Representing the Portland Glass brand with professionalism and a commitment to exceptional service.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable using computers, email, phones, and other technology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, vendors, and management.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in a busy customer-facing environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in inside sales, customer service, scheduling, dispatching, billing, administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in the glass, construction, home improvement, automotive, or service industry.
  • Experience working with scheduling, billing, or customer management systems.

Competitive pay: Compensation is based on experience and skill level.


Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The Associate should be able to stand, sit in an office space, lift 75lbs on occasion, communicate, lift computer equipment, supplies, and materials, and use office equipment and computers. The Associate is exposed to typical office working conditions, as well as conditions in a workshop environment. The Associate must be able to lift and climb ladders, handle glass and related materials, and carry all needed equipment to perform measurements and design assessments.
