Utility Worker
Job Description
A global manufacturer of technically supported battery oxides and other specialty chemicals is seeking experienced utility workers for their Hammond location.
Job Requirements Include:
Must have 1+ years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or heavy commercial cleaning/housekeeping environment.
Education: High School or GED equivalent.
Must be able to wear a respirator and pass a fit test.

Job Responsibilities Include:
Perform comprehensive cleaning and industrial housekeeping tasks across production floors, warehouse areas, silos, and walkways.
Regularly empty industrial trash receptacles, clear manufacturing waste, and ensure proper disposal of plant materials in accordance with environmental policies.
Clean and wash specialized plant equipment, workstations, and high-traffic facility zones to preserve a functional workspace.
Assist in organizing tools, supplies, and materials; replenish raw materials or packaging items for production lines as requested.
Handle low-level upkeep tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, maintaining outdoor walkways, and supporting the maintenance team during plant cleanouts.
Adhere strictly to OSHA standards and client specific safety protocols for working in a lead processing facility, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Job Details Include:
Temp to hire.
Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. (candidate must be able to work all shifts upon hire on)
$22.40 per hour
