Job Summary

Sletten Excavating is seeking a dependable and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Center, North Dakota. The ideal candidate will have previous heavy equipment experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to safely and efficiently operate equipment on excavation and construction projects.

This position involves working at job sites throughout the surrounding area, so reliable transportation to and from job sites is required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy construction and excavation equipment.
• Perform excavation, grading, loading, material handling, and other general site work as assigned.
• Inspect equipment before and after use and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow project plans, job-site instructions, and company safety procedures.
• Assist with general construction and excavation tasks when needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work effectively as part of a crew while also being able to complete tasks independently.
• Travel to various job sites throughout the surrounding area.

Qualifications

• Previous heavy equipment experience is required.
• Experience operating construction or excavation equipment.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites throughout the area.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively with a team.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position and work on active construction sites.

Compensation & Benefits

• $27.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience.
• $400 per month toward health insurance.
• Full-time employment.
