Plant Nursery Supervisor

The Plant Nursery Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day nursery operations at our Umatilla and Mount Dota locations. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position requiring strong leadership, reliability, and flexibility.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervise and coordinate nursery employees and daily tasks
• Oversee plant care, watering, fertilizing, and winterization
• Assist with shipping operations, order preparation, and loading trucks
• Maintain nursery grounds, facilities, and equipment
• Operate propane equipment and other nursery equipment as needed
• Work outdoors in hot, humid, and changing weather conditions
• Assist with general maintenance and operational needs
• Help prepare the nursery for cold temperatures and weather events
• Communicate with management and ensure daily operations run efficiently
• Respond to operational issues or emergencies when needed
• A good clean driving with box driving skills needed (using load bars, rolling racks, air brakes)

This position requires flexibility and availability, including occasional early mornings, late hours, weekends, and emergency call-ins. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, comfortable managing people, and willing to work alongside the team to get the job done.

This is not a desk-only position. The Plant Nursery Supervisor is expected to be actively involved in the physical, operational, and day-to-day work of the nursery.
