Inventory Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to support accurate inventory control and efficient warehouse operations. In this role, you will help ensure product availability, maintain precise records, and contribute to smooth day-to-day processes across receiving, storage, and distribution activities. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
This work schedule will be Monday through Friday with start times being driven by job site needs. Regular attendance is a must.
Responsibilities- Trimble Management: Maintain the Trimble inventory system, logging all incoming items and charging out all outgoing items from inventory
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with Field Superintendent and drivers to schedule deliveries to active commercial construction sites.
- Project Kitting: Stage and pack large-scale commercial HVAC project kits based on engineering take-offs before field delivery.
- Tool & Asset Tracking: Use Trimble to track expensive tools and equipment such as recovery machines, vacuum pumps and excavating equipment and scissor lifts.
- Fabrication Support: Monitor reorder levels of raw materials used in the sheet metal, plumbing and piping fabrication shops.
- Inventory Count: Responsible for inventory counts, cycle counts and discrepancy resolution
- Receiving: Responsible for auditing manufacturers delivery tickets upon receipt of product and discrepancy resolution.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- 2 years Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or a similar role within the Commercial HVAC or Mechanical Contracting.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Basic computer skills including but not limited to Outlook for email and Excel.
- Hands-On experience using Trimble Spectrum, Trimble MEP, or Accubid for inventory or project Tracking
- Ability to organize tasks, manage priorities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. as required by the role, within applicable safety guidelines.
- Dependable, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and service.
- Safely operate a forklift
- Valid Driver's license with a clean record
- Product Knowledge being familiar with commercial split systems, RTUs, plumbing pipe and fittings
- Experience with Trimble products including Spectrum, and ACCUBID.
- Knowledge of inventory reconciliation, cycle counting, and stock control processes.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures.
- Experience supporting process improvement or inventory optimization initiatives.
