Do you have 15+ years’ capital construction scheduling experience managing complex programs? Are you confident using Primavera, critical path analysis and schedule forensics to keep projects on track?


The role

We are looking for an experienced Scheduler V (Lead Scheduler) to support major capital construction program in the Los Angeles area.

This is a senior, influential position where you will do far more than update schedules. You will help shape program performance, challenge risks, guide project teams and provide leadership with the information needed to make informed decisions.

You will oversee complex cost- and resource-loaded schedules while supervising and supporting construction project schedulers.

You must currently live in, or be willing to relocate to, the Los Angeles, CA area.


Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Develop and maintain baseline, master and detailed project schedules.
  • Monitor construction progress against approved schedules and milestones.
  • Review contractor schedules for contractual compliance and schedule integrity.
  • Perform schedule QA/QC, critical path reviews and schedule forensics.
  • Complete Time Impact Analysis, delay analysis and investigations into program impacts.
  • Identify schedule risks, conflicts and potential delays, recommending recovery strategies.
  • Maintain cost- and resource-loaded schedules supporting EVMS, forecasting and resource planning.
  • Lead schedule discussions during progress meetings and stakeholder reviews.
  • Prepare performance reports covering variances, milestones, risks and forecast completion.
  • Work closely with cost, estimating, risk, design, construction and program management teams.
  • Lead onboarding and supervise the daily work of project schedulers.

The person


Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of recent capital construction scheduling experience.
  • BS/BA Degree in bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or Construction
  • Management. An additional 4 years qualifying experience in excess to the minimum stated above may be
  • substituted for the required education.
  • Advanced proficiency in specified software including, but not limited to, Primavera Scheduling Software, MS
  • Office Applications including Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with cost and resource loaded schedules.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business processes.
  • Strong understanding of cost engineering, scheduling best practices, and schedule forensics.
  • Good Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proven ability to foster collaboration across
  • diverse project teams.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
