Reports to: Production Supervisor


Responsibilities


  • Has a thorough understanding and follows our company’s inventory policies and procedures. Follows and thoroughly understands the company’s customers, products and services. Ask questions when confronted with unfamiliar situations, but also assists less experienced employees in these areas by providing information as necessary.
  • Performs the tasks necessary to maintain an efficient flow of incoming materials, inventories, and outbound shipments of products to be able to effectively serve our customers.
  • Loads and unloads trucks and transports materials, products and supplies in and out of the warehouse using both powered and non-powered equipment, as necessary.
  • Performs saw cutting operations, including machine setup, material preparation, cutting, and verification of material to required lengths and specifications.
  • Visual inspections for initial quality.
  • Organizes and maintains inventory locations including pallet racks and bins in an orderly and safe manner.
  • Processes and pulls the correct material for orders and transfers properly for shipment using a variety of hand and powered tools, as needed.
  • Maintain lot traceability for raw material and components
  • Performs accurate inventory counts and investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies as necessary..
  • Completes the required paperwork for intra-company transfers or shipments to customers or vendors.
  • Communicates effectively with their coworkers and supervisors, along with other members of the operations, planning, and purchasing, quality and engineering as required.
  • Provides assistance and guidance to less-experienced employees in inventory, material handling, saw cutting, and auxiliary equipment operation
  • Keeps the supervisor aware in a timely manner of any issues needing the supervisor’s involvement.
  • Maintains timely and accurate records and reports, as required.


Requirements


  • Has one or more years of experience with the company fully meeting the expectations of an Outside Processing Associate or one year of successful directly related experience within another company function or organization.
  • Syteline or other ERP experience is preferred.
  • Prior forklift experience is required.
  • High school education is required.
  • Has the necessary training to be proficient in the position.
  • Very detail oriented.
  • Has excellent communications and interpersonal skills to be able to interact effectively with others to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations such as decimal/fraction conversions and reading measuring tools.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a fork lift license, and operate it safely in order to protect themselves and others around them.
  • Has good computer skills and is proficient with all the related company systems and programs.
  • Has basic analytical and problem-solving abilities to meet the requirements of the position.
  • Effective time management skills in prioritizing and addressing multiple responsibilities at one time.
  • High energy with a sense of urgency in responding to customer needs.
  • High level of personal and professional integrity.
