Job Description

Job Description

Role Summary

The On-Site Operations Supervisor oversees daily warehouse processing and is the primary on-site operational leader for the warehouse floor. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role ensures operational efficiency, quality standards, productivity targets, and inventory accuracy are consistently achieved, and leads the frontline personnel who screen, grade, and process devices. The primary work site is the Dallas facility; during the first six months, the role may require periodic travel to support training, process standardization, and operational oversight, including occasional travel to other IFP sites (e.g., Houston) if needed.

Floor Operations & Quality

• Supervise daily warehouse processing, including device screening, grading, and inventory handling.

• Ensure all processes are performed to company standards, customer requirements, and established procedures.

• Monitor productivity, quality, throughput, and accuracy so operational KPIs are consistently achieved.

• Conduct routine quality audits to ensure screening and grading consistency.

• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and performance.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and drive standards.

• Develop employee schedules and allocate labor to support daily operational requirements.

• Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment.

Third-Party Coordination

• Act as IFP’s on-site operational point of contact, working directly with the third-party supervisors, Quality, and Operations managers.

• Partner closely with the third-party team to drive continuous-improvement initiatives.

• Ensure the third party continues to meet agreed SLA and KPI performance — particularly when process or flow changes are introduced — confirming that changes do not degrade throughput, quality, or turnaround before and after they take effect.

Reporting & Coordination

• Report daily operational performance, issues, and escalations to the Operations Manager and corporate management.

• Partner closely with the Sales & Operations Support Supervisor to resolve shipment discrepancies, inventory variances, and operational exceptions.

• Maintain accurate operational records and support inventory-control activities.

• Drive continuous-improvement initiatives focused on quality, throughput, grading consistency, and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 2–3 years in warehouse operations, production supervision, reverse logistics, refurbishment, or distribution.

• Previous experience leading frontline operational teams.

• Strong understanding of quality control, process compliance, and operational performance management.

• Experience monitoring and reporting operational KPIs.

• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard business systems.

• Able to work full-time on-site in a warehouse environment, including standing and walking for extended periods and lifting heavy boxes (up to ~50 lbs) as needed.

• Able to travel periodically to support training and standardization — primarily on-site in Dallas, with occasional travel to other IFP facilities (e.g., Houston) if needed.

• Experience handling high-value inventory, including chain-of-custody control and loss-prevention practices from receiving through resale.

• Hands-on experience with a warehouse/inventory management system (WMS/ERP) and the ability to pull and interpret operational data, beyond proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience in Apple device refurbishment, trade-in, or reverse-logistics operations.

• Familiarity with device grading standards (e.g., CTIA) and inspection workflows.

• Understanding of high-volume production environments, including how a single disruption in the flow cascades downstream and puts overall daily targets at risk.

• Working knowledge of 5S and Six Sigma / Lean methodologies.

• Awareness of secure data-sanitization requirements for data-bearing devices (e.g., NIST 800-88 – data erasure) and enforcement of data-protection handling on the floor.

• Experience implementing process or flow changes without disrupting SLA or KPI performance (change management).

• Structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills (e.g., 5-Why, 8D, fishbone).

• Experience managing or interfacing with third-party (3PL) operations to defined SLAs.

• Familiarity with warehouse health & safety and OSHA requirements.

• Bilingual English/Spanish/Chinese a plus for floor team communication.
