EHS Compliance Coordinator
Job Description
EHS Compliance Coordinator
Full-Time | Non-Exempt | Berryville, VA
Join the C2 Management Team
C2 Management is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented EHS Compliance Coordinator to support our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), quality, and regulatory compliance programs.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being involved in operations—not sitting behind a desk all day. You will work closely with management and employees throughout our electronics recycling and asset recovery facility to maintain certifications, improve safety, conduct audits and inspections, provide training, and ensure our operations meet applicable environmental and regulatory requirements.
Experience with EHS, R2v3, ISO standards, OSHA, environmental compliance, safety programs, or quality management systems is highly desirable.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and support C2's Integrated Management System (IMS) and certifications, including R2v3, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018.
- Monitor compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Coordinate compliance activities, management reviews, audits, corrective actions, and certification requirements.
- Maintain and update EHS, ISO, R2, safety, quality, and regulatory documentation.
- Conduct routine warehouse safety and compliance inspections.
- Identify hazards and compliance concerns and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct and document downstream vendor audits related to R2 requirements and focus materials.
- Coordinate Safety Committee meetings and support company safety initiatives.
- Develop and provide employee training related to EHS, OSHA, R2, ISO, environmental compliance, PPE, and workplace safety.
- Participate in incident investigations, corrective actions, and required reporting.
- Assist with internal and external audits and communicate with auditors and regulatory agencies when necessary.
- Monitor changes to applicable regulations and certification requirements.
- Partner with Operations, Human Resources, Logistics, Asset Recovery, Triage, Secure IT, Shipping, and other departments to maintain compliance.
- Help develop and continuously improve company safety, environmental, and compliance programs.
What We're Looking For
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience or working knowledge in EHS, environmental compliance, workplace safety, quality assurance, ISO, R2, OSHA, or regulatory compliance.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret standards, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, audits, and documentation requirements.
- Resourceful and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Comfortable addressing compliance and safety expectations with employees and management.
- Ability to maintain confidential company and employee information.
Experience That Will Make You Stand Out
Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
R2v3 | EHS | ISO 9001 | ISO 14001 | ISO 45001 | OSHA | EPA | DOT | Electronics Recycling | Environmental Compliance | Safety Programs | Internal Auditing | Regulatory Compliance | Quality Management Systems
You do not need experience in every area listed above. We are interested in candidates who have a strong compliance or EHS foundation and the ability and willingness to learn.
Work Environment
This position works in both office and warehouse environments. The EHS Compliance Coordinator will regularly be on the warehouse floor conducting inspections, observing processes, interacting with employees, providing training, and supporting safe and compliant operations.
The position requires regular walking and may require extended periods of standing or sitting. Employees may be exposed to normal warehouse temperature variations and noise and must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Why C2 Management?
This isn't a position where you'll simply maintain paperwork. You'll have the opportunity to work directly with Operations and leadership and play an important role in how we operate.
Your work will help C2:
- Maintain critical industry certifications.
- Protect the health and safety of our employees.
- Meet our environmental responsibilities.
- Prepare for successful internal and external audits.
