HES (Health, Safety & Environmental) Manager
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE) Manager and lead the charge in fostering a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. Your expertise will ensure adherence to all relevant regulations while empowering employees through training and proactive risk management. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve health, safety, and environmental policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and other regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and root cause analysis to identify hazards and prevent incidents before they occur.
- Lead incident investigations by gathering evidence, writing detailed reports, and recommending corrective actions to mitigate future risks.
- Follow Hutchinson Worldwide safety recording, reporting requirements and processes.
- Maintain compliance to ISO14001 certification.
- Oversee environmental compliance efforts related to waste management, emissions control, and sustainable manufacturing practices in line with EPA regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement through effective report writing and communication strategies.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial environments with a strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, workers' compensation law, and environmental management systems (EHS).
- Prior experience conducting root cause analysis, report writing, incident investigations, and developing corrective action plans.
- Certifications such as First Aid & CPR instructor certification or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Strong training & development skills with the ability to educate diverse teams on safety protocols and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
