Certified Medical Assistant — Concierge Internal Medicine
Zampogna Healthcare is a privately owned concierge internal medicine practice dedicated to providing an exceptional, highly personalized healthcare experience to our members. We are a small, close-knit team that takes great pride in delivering thoughtful, attentive, and relationship-based care.
We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team full-time. Position Details
Position: Certified Medical Assistant
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Reports to: Clinical Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional, personalized support to our physicians and concierge medicine members.
- Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, medical histories, medication information, and other clinical information.
- Perform phlebotomy and other clinical duties with confidence, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Prepare and properly process laboratory specimens for submission to multiple laboratory partners.
- Ensure lab orders, specimens, and associated documentation are accurate and handled appropriately.
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and other clinical needs.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with outside laboratories, imaging centers, specialists, hospitals, and other healthcare partners.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Assist with medication-related tasks, prescription requests, referrals, and other clinical office responsibilities as directed.
- Provide a high level of communication and service to members by phone, email, and in person.
- Assist with front desk responsibilities, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting members, collecting payments, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, professional, and welcoming clinical environment.
- Protect patient privacy and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- Anticipate the needs of physicians, patients, and the practice and proactively step in wherever needed.
- Work collaboratively with the entire team and contribute to a positive, respectful, and supportive workplace culture.
- Perform additional duties as needed in a small, growing concierge medical practice.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years of medical assistant experience preferred.
- Primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, or concierge medicine experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent and confident phlebotomy skills are required.
- Experience processing and submitting laboratory specimens to multiple laboratory partners.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows, medical terminology, and patient care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional, polished, warm, and personable demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Comfortable working independently while also being an active team player.
- Willingness to assist with both clinical and front-office responsibilities.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of a small practice.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard office technology.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and providing exceptional service.
