Sr. Civil Construction Estimator

GWP Construction, Inc, is seeking an expereiced Civil Estimator for Site Development and Underground Utilities . Applicant MUST have experience in all types of construction including, FDOT, municipal, and private. Pay based on experience.

This is the lead estimator position responsible for overseeing other estimators.

• Qualified applicant will be responsible interpreting all aspects of plans and managing the entire bid process
• Posess ability to evaluate construction plans for constructability, risk assesment, go/no go decisions, and engineering accuracy.
• Evaluate municipal specification and bid forms to provide a complete bid package.
• Manage RFI process including meeting deadlines for submitting questions.
• Experience with Agtek and estimating applications helpful.
• Will be responsible for communicating with engineers, project owners, company owners, government agencies and county inspectors.
• Applicant must have good communication skills.
• Have knowledge of Florida soils and interpreting geotechnical reports
• Manage bidding process from take off to bid submission
• Prepare quantity take-offs and establish pricing for labor and materials to obtain a value for the work
• Perform site visits to evaluate site conditions
• Ability to read bid and construction specifications to provide a complete and accurate bid.
• Leadership skills to oversee other estimators
• Ability to understand civil plans including FDOT plans and specifications
• Work as a team member
• High level of self motivation to meet deadlines
• Detail oriented
• Able to work with minimal direction
• Able to foresee construction challenges that may be experienced.

Experience - Construction Estimating 5 years (Required)
