1st shift- 100% onsite.

This hands-on role is responsible for preparing, instrumenting, operating, and troubleshooting vehicles and test equipment to ensure accurate, high-quality data collection and timely test execution.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams to perform chassis dynamometer testing, support vehicle development programs, and help validate compliance with both federal regulations and internal engineering requirements.

Typical Day

  • Review assigned testing schedules and work tickets.
  • Prepare vehicles and dynamometer cells for testing.
  • Install instrumentation and data acquisition equipment.
  • Operate chassis dynamometer systems to simulate real-world driving conditions.
  • Collect and analyze noise and vibration data.
  • Partner with engineers to evaluate results and make vehicle modifications when necessary.
  • Support multiple testing cells and collaborate with technicians across the laboratory.
  • Complete documentation and prepare vehicles for subsequent testing activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • ASE Master Technician certification with significant dealership experience may be considered equivalent.
  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on automotive mechanical and/or electrical experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience with instrumentation installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Strong mechanical assembly and disassembly skills.
  • Experience using hand tools, air tools, and automotive diagnostic equipment.
  • Knowledge of data acquisition systems and test data troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
