We are seeking a dependable, caring, energetic, and responsible Part-Time Floater Teacher/Bus Driver to join our childcare team. This position will provide support in various classrooms throughout the day and assist with safe transportation of children to and from school and other approved activities.

Responsibilities

Classroom/Floater Duties

  • Provide support and coverage in various classrooms as needed.
  • Assist with the daily care, supervision, and engagement of children.
  • Assist with meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, and nap/rest routines.
  • Participate in age-appropriate activities, learning experiences, and play.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
  • Assist with transitions, outdoor play, arrival, and dismissal.
  • Follow center policies, classroom schedules, and lesson plans.
  • Provide positive guidance and redirection to children.
  • Communicate professionally with children, families, and staff.

Bus Driver Duties

  • Safely transport children to and from school and approved activities.
  • Complete daily vehicle safety checks before transporting children.
  • Follow designated transportation routes and schedules.
  • Ensure children are properly secured according to center and safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate transportation and attendance records.
  • Assist children safely on and off the vehicle.
  • Maintain a clean and safe transportation environment.
  • Communicate any transportation concerns or incidents to management immediately.
  • Follow all applicable childcare licensing, transportation, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Previous childcare experience preferred.
  • Previous school bus or childcare transportation experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Must meet all applicable childcare licensing and transportation requirements.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, patient, and flexible.
  • Must enjoy working with children and demonstrate good judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be comfortable working with children of different age groups.

Schedule

Part-Time | Flexible Schedule

The position may include morning and/or afternoon school transportation, as well as classroom coverage during the day. Flexibility is preferred based on the center's transportation and staffing needs.
