REQUIREMENTS

1. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oklahoma.

2. Preferably two (2) years current private duty or pediatric nursing experience.

3. Preferably two (2) years supervisory or administrative experience.

4. Wide range of Home Care nursing experience recommended.

5. Ability to relate to different types of people.

6. Effective communication skills.

7. Knowledge of teaching methods.

8. Preferably participates in related professional organizations.

9. Ability to set priorities, use good judgment, be creative.

10. Uses critical skills in problem solving.

11. Ability to function well under stress.

12. Currently licensed Home Care Administrator in the State of Oklahoma, strongly preferred but not required.

DESCRIPTION

The Clinical Supervisor supervises home care staff, clinical staff and administrative support personnel. Is responsible for the overall direction coordination and evaluation of operations. Ensures clinical standards of quality and service are met. Ensures compliance with Federal, State and local government regulations and corporate policies.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The Clinical Supervisor works with and is responsible to the Administrator of Shelby Healthcare.

ASSIGNMENT

Primarily works from the Shelby Healthcare office and performs recertifications, post hospitalizations, and admissions in patients' homes/hospital. May perform duties in a variety of home care and/or facility settings as well as community-based organizations.

FUNCTIONS

1. The Clinical Supervisor has a varied and unique role and prime responsibility in assuring quality client care and service.

2. The Clinical Supervisor performs acts which require substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills based upon the principals of psychological, biological, physical and social sciences.

3. Performs all duties and responsibilities relative to Performance Improvement Coordination.

4. Directs and implements Shelby Healthcare evaluation system for the field employees and the office staff

5. Recommends needed policies and executes all policies, procedures and changes of Shelby Healthcare.

6. Reviews clinical records, statics and reports. Based on outcomes makes recommendations to the administrator.

7. Be available to attend seminars and workshops for advancement and continued education.

8. Assures that State and Federal regulations are being met or may designate responsibility to field nursing staff.

9. Assist with recruitment and retention of Shelby Healthcare employees.

10. Provides each Shelby Healthcare employee an orientation program pertinent to home care.

11. Approves and oversees in-services or continuing education programs relevant to needs of all Shelby Healthcare employees.

12. Participate in professional organizations as applicable.

13. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general health care periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.

14. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

15. Directs and coordinates activities of all patient/client services provided by clinical agency/branch staff.

16. Provides guidance in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient/client care.

17. Selects, manages, trains and develops clinical staff.

18. Will do timely appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

19. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

20. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

21. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in health care management and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

22. Responsible for keeping lines of communication open between physicians, social workers, nurse, clients, office staff and new and potential clients.

23. Will be available to do evaluation visits, admissions, PRN visits, emergency calls and to be on-call.

EVALUATION

Performance evaluations are done by the Governing Body.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $73,500.00 per year
