Material Expeditor - Defense Manufacturing

CTR Group is seeking a Parts Expeditor for a Defense Manufacturing Company in the Madison Heights, MI, area.

Immediate need. Starts ASAP!

Pay Rate: $20 an hour plus the $500 sign on bonus if the employee stays 60 days. Potential full-time job at the end.

SUMMARY:

Seeking a Parts Expeditor for a defense manufacturing facility in Madison Heights, MI. This is a 60-day contract with strong potential to convert to a full-time position. If candidate does well for the duration of the contract, it is almost guaranteed.

Responsibilities include tracking and expediting parts and materials through procurement, receiving, and inventory. The Parts Expeditor ensures the right components are available on the shop floor when needed to keep production on schedule. Duties include coordinating with vendors and suppliers on delivery timelines, following up on open purchase orders, receiving, and verifying incoming shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, working within ERP/inventory management systems, and communicating with production and engineering teams on parts status and availability.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a parts department, warehouse, inventory control, or supply chain role
• Familiarity with parts tracking, purchase orders, and inventory management systems
• Automotive, defense, heavy equipment, or manufacturing background preferred
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Reliable transportation to Madison Heights, MI
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred:

• Prior experience in a defense or automotive manufacturing facility
• ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Military supply/logistics MOS (92A, 92Y, or equivalent) is a plus

$500 sign-on bonus paid upon completion of the full 60-day contract. Strong performers will be considered for full-time employment with the client.
