Fleet Care, Inc. is seeking a motivated Entry Level Mechanic / Automotive Technician to join our team at our commercial fleet repair facility in West Chester, OH (Tri-county area). Founded in 1990, we specialize in light- and medium-duty commercial vehicle maintenance and repair (gas and diesel), serving fleet accounts, owner-operators, and national fleet management companies. We focus on quick turnaround, quality work, and long-term customer relationships in a 12-bay shop designed for commercial vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their career in automotive/truck repair who wants hands-on experience and room to grow under experienced technicians and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians with routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on light- and medium-duty trucks, vans, step vans, box trucks, and related commercial vehicles
• Perform basic services including oil changes, fluid checks/replacements, filter changes, tire rotations/inspections, and lubrication
• Help diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, brake, exhaust, cooling, and other systems under supervision until skill and knowledge levels allow independent work
• Assist with DOT inspections, liftgate work, and general shop duties
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Accurately document work performed and parts used
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards
• Support vehicle pickup/delivery and other shop needs as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Entry-level experience preferred (shop class, vocational training, apprenticeship, or personal vehicle work); recent graduates or career-changers with strong mechanical aptitude encouraged to apply
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment
• Willingness to learn commercial vehicle and diesel systems
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Strong work ethic, reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to follow direction

Schedule
Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
(Occasional overtime or weekend work by appointment may be required) Pay
Competitive hourly rate based on experience (entry-level range typically $20–$25+/hour). Discuss during interview.
