Inventory Analyst
44133 28-30.00 an hour w2 contract 09/28/2026 to 09/27/2027 Waterloo IA
Work Hours: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday with minimal overtime.
Position Overview
As an Inventory Analyst at, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory systems. You will collaborate cross-functionally with materials management, manufacturing engineering, and auditing teams to proactively manage inventory processes and resolve discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate material processes to ensure alignment between system and physical inventory
• Conduct root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineers and Department Auditors to maintain point-of-use inventory accuracy
• Reconcile inventory variances and develop preventive measures to avoid recurrence
• Support monthly and annual financial inventory audits
Required Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with SAP
• In-depth understanding of material flow processes
• Background in inventory management
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant work experience
Interview Process:
• Interviews will be conducted onsite.
• Business casual dress code.
• Candidates will need metatarsal protection for the first day.
Additional Information:
• Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position.
• This position has the potential of driving a John Deere-owned Gator on the shop floor after successful training completion.
• Some travel between Waterloo sites for monthly meetings utilizing a personal vehicle should be expected.
