About the Role & Team


Thriving Mind South Florida, a non-profit Managing Entity, is seeking a sharp, highly organized and proactive Contract Specialist to join our team.

If you understand the behavioral health landscape and excel at program oversight, compliance monitoring, or fast-paced administrative operations, your skills will translate directly. We provide the technical training on contract management. You bring the organization, strong writing skills, and dedication to quality work.

We operate in a dynamic environment where daily priorities can, and do, shift at a moment’s notice. You will work closely with leadership and colleagues who offer steady guidance and hands-on support, but you must be comfortable pivoting quickly, adjusting your focus as urgent needs arise, and ensuring continuous progress across competing tasks.


Responsibilities

· Draft, review and negotiate contracts

· Ensure contracts are executed accurately and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations

· Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly

· Manage contract renewals, amendments, and termination

· Manage relationships with subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to contractual obligations

· Maintain accurate and up to date contract records and databases

· Prepare reports and analyses on contract performance and compliance

· Participate in planning meetings and workgroups

Minimum Qualifications

1. Meticulous Attention to Detail: High precision and thoroughness across all aspects of the job, from reviewing complex documents and tracking deadlines to administrative tasks, recordkeeping, and daily communication.

2. Proactive & Organized: Strong self-organization systems, tracks tasks systematically to ensure deadlines are met without needing prompts or constant oversight.

3. Collaborative & Responsive: Maintains active, transparent communication with leadership; keeps management updated on task status proactively and works side-by-side with colleagues.

4. Industry Experience: Background in behavioral health, social services, program monitoring, compliance, or healthcare operations preferred.

5. Flexibility: Ability to manage dynamic workloads, pivot focus rapidly and maintain quality under tight turnaround deadlines.

6. Education: A bachelor’s degree preferred (in Healthcare Administration, Business, Social Services, Psychology or related discipline). Candidates transitioning from direct care roles must demonstrate strong administrative, documentation, or compliance skills gained through their work (such as audit preparation, compliance records, tracking program metrics, or program reporting). High School Diploma/GED with an equivalent combination of practical experience in program monitoring, compliance oversight, or complex administrative operations will be considered.

Work Schedule& Location

· Work Arrangement: Hybrid role. Currently 2 days in the office and 3 days remote (subject to change based on operational needs, onsite meetings, or management discretion).

· Core Hours: Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

· Flexibility: While rare, occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on urgent contract deadlines or operational demands.
