Shipping & Receiving Associate
Location: Midwest City, OK
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our manufacturing and distribution team in Midwest City, OK. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate movement of materials and products throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will be organized, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
Receiving Operations
- Unload inbound shipments and inspect products for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify received items against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipment documentation.
- Report and document shortages, damaged goods, or other receiving issues.
- Enter receiving information accurately into inventory or warehouse management systems.
Shipping Operations
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Verify outgoing orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Package materials according to carrier and customer requirements.
- Complete shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, labels, and manifests.
- Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock locations.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Organize warehouse inventory to support efficient storage and retrieval.
- Process returns, document damages, and restock approved items.
Equipment & Safety
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Communication & Problem Resolution
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, delivery drivers, and internal departments.
- Assist in resolving shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies.
- Support warehouse and operations teams to ensure smooth daily workflow.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, or inventory experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of shipping documentation and warehouse procedures preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
