Mental Health Compliance Specialist
New Alternatives, Inc. is a private nonprofit agency that provides a wide range of services to children, youth, and families in San Diego and Orange Counties. Services include residential, outpatient, day treatment and in-home support services.
Focus: Regulatory Compliance
Duties:
- Monitor County contract compliance
- Monitor DHCS requirements
- Monitor Medi-Cal documentation standards
- Monitor CMS requirements
- Monitor CDSS/STRTP regulations
- Monitor Probation contract requirements
- Monitor Licensing requirements
- Support Accreditation preparation
- Complete Compliance audits
- Audit policy tracking
Compliance Specialist
- Tracks contract requirements
- Maintains compliance calendars
- Reviews policies
- Supports audits
- Monitors regulatory changes
Ideal background:
- Behavioral health contracts
- Healthcare compliance
- Managed care
- County behavioral health systems
- Compliance certification (CHC preferred)
Hourly rate: $25-29/hour, based on education and experience.
