Salary: $68,000–$85,000 per year + bonus and renewal incentives
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Residential Property Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a multifamily residential community. This individual will be responsible for ensuring smooth property operations, maintaining strong occupancy and resident retention, overseeing leasing activities, coordinating maintenance needs, and delivering an excellent resident experience.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a property management professional who can effectively balance operational responsibilities, resident relations, financial performance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of a multifamily residential property.
- Manage leasing activities, renewals, occupancy, rent collection, and resident retention.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and service providers.
- Coordinate maintenance requests, repairs, property inspections, and improvement projects.
- Ensure leases, resident files, and property records are accurate and compliant.
- Handle lease violations, eviction-related administrative processes, and other resident matters.
- Maintain compliance with Fair Housing requirements and applicable landlord-tenant regulations.
- Resolve resident concerns and conflicts professionally and efficiently.
- Monitor property conditions and ensure the community remains safe, attractive, and well maintained.
- Utilize property management software to manage leasing, resident, and operational activities.
- Support revenue growth through lease renewals and other resident retention initiatives.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of property management experience within multifamily residential communities is required.
- Strong background managing apartment or residential community operations.
- Experience with leasing, rent collection, lease renewals, and resident relations.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant requirements.
- Experience coordinating maintenance, vendors, repairs, and property inspections.
- Comfortable handling lease enforcement and eviction-related administrative processes.
- Strong customer service, communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Experience using property management software; AppFolio experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
