Scope of Work: Wiring and installing analog and digital two-way radios, laptops, partitions, radio consoles, docking stations, light bars, sound systems, and other electronics in various emergency vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Install and remove Emergency Lighting, Cages, Camera Systems, Consoles, Radios, etc
- Provide basic maintenance of public safety equipment, including testing and repairing various equipment.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
Requirements:
- Experience with 12 Volt vehicle wiring systems preferred
- Must have mechanical ability/experience
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must possess excellent communication and listening skills
- Must have good organizational and time management skills
- Must possess a strong attention to detail
Skills/Knowledge
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Knowledge, skills, and mechanical aptitude regarding removal and replacement of automotive components
- Ability to install, inspect, and service a multitude of electronics and vehicle equipment
- Knowledge and skill with specific wire terminals, connectors and crimping tools
- Basic computer knowledge
